Guerrilla Queer Cafe is a queer takeover event to promote queer visibility and positivity in Syracuse and Central New York. Guerrilla Queer Cafe events happen on a weekend afternoon in a local coffee shop or venue where consumption of alcohol is not the central focus.
Mark your calendar for our next event! This month we have a very special collaboration with the Everson Museum of Art!
From 10:30 AM–12:30 PM, join Everson arts instructors for a clay class inspired by works in the Everson’s collection and current ceramics exhibitions. Participants will enjoy an overview of ceramics at the Everson, a demonstration of different clay techniques, and the opportunity to create and decorate their own small clay project. All clay projects will be fired by instructors after the workshop and will be available for pickup at a later date. Preregistration is required for class participation.
From 12:30–2:30 PM, the Syracuse Guerrilla Queer Cafe takes over Louise Café. Enjoy artful bites and beverages in the Museum’s Louise Café while exploring the incredible functional ceramics of the Rosenfield Collection. Like all of our Guerrilla Queer Café events, the meetup is free and no preregistration is required, but do note the time!
